OperaWorld Magazine describes Andrea González Caballero as “the female voice of the Spanish guitar.” She is a laureate of multiple prestigious international guitar competitions, receiving First Prize and Special Prize at the XL International Competition F. Sor (Rome) and First Prize at the XIII Alhambra International Guitar Competition (Valencia), among others.
Supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the DAAD, Andrea studied at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule, later earning a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Miami. She is also the creator of IDENTIDADE, a project uniting women artist, and has contributed music to the film No Man’s Land. Andrea is proudly sponsored by Guitarras Alhambra and D’Addario & Co.
The Treasure Coast Classical Guitar Society, a community for classical guitar enthusiasts, was formed in 2010 to promote the appreciation of classical guitar, provide opportunities for guitarists of all levels to meet and play together, and to sponsor professional concerts.
